The Choice: The Active Ingredient of Innovation

Every great innovator has solved their problem by addressing its sub-problems and, most importantly, by making a decision. According to the author of this Harvard Business Review article, discoveries may not necessarily the result from brilliant inspirations, but rather from a methodical process. His "Think Bigger" method suggests the creation of a "Choice Map" that divides major problems into sub-problems, looks for existing solutions for each, and then combines them in innovative ways to find revolutionary solutions.
